Joseph Cohen, Executive Director of the ACLU of West Virginia and Eli Baumwell, Policy Director for the ACLU-WV, join the program to discuss discuss the launch on Oct. 1 of ACLU's People Power, a nationwide grassroots mobilization aimed at protecting our fundamental right to vote.
"Trump and his sham voter fraud commission are working to undermine confidence in our elections, and local and state legislators continue to target voting rights," says the ACLU.
The plan: organize THOUSANDS of grassroots events in communities across the U.S. beginning with the upcoming organizational session, say Cohen and other leaders. Make sure we’re ready to fight back against attacks on our voting rights and pressure lawmakers to expand this fundamental pillar of our free society. And then, keep the pressure going.
